This is not such a well-known beach, probably because it is kind of hidden and quite small. In order to get to it you have to park at the Baths of Aphrodite public parking lot, cross the street and as you are looking at the fish restaurant, climb down the hill towards the beach to the right or left. The beach is situated right under the restaurant. To the left there are stairs, to the right is a dirt path.
The beach almost feels private, as it is not really visible even from the restaurant and there is not so much room, I would say the entire beach fits up to around 50 people max. There is not much beach area, think 3-5 meters and then the water starts.
It is quite rocky and it almost feels like a feat to get to the sand where you can stand comfortably and in addition to that it gets pretty wavy at times, making it even harder. I would say it is one of my less pleasant swimming experiences. Once you do cross the rocky area, the water is extremely clear and ideal for snorkeling as there are lots of fish.
It is however quite beautiful to just lay on the beach and catch some sun or walk around and collect the colored pebbles that beaches on this part of the island are famous for.
Overall a nice experience, but definitely not my first swimming choice in this neck of the woods. We usually prefer the beach at Ttakkas Bay which is much more swimmer-friendly.

Polis beach is located a short distance from the village square. There is a woodland shaded area which is used as a campsite particularly during Cypriot public holidays.
