Something about my experience...

I went to India, originally for the purpose of learning Sanskrit. I visited an ayurvedic doctor and she told me if I wanted to be healthy I should do yoga. So that was enough for me to learn Yoga instead. After learning yoga, i returned to India several times to learn more yoga and also to learn Ayurveda. I eventually received training in Ayurvedic therapies, medical yoga therapy and Ayurvedic Dietetics.

At the hospital where I interned, I saw a lot of suffering people that had become ill because they did not know how to take care of their health. That is why it is so important to learn how eating and lifestyle habits and working on mental health (such as handling stress, achieving life goals, letting go of past) is necessary to have a happy and fulfilling life.

I learned more useful and practical information in a few years in India than I have learned in over 20 years in the Western World.
