  I have been fortunate enough to own a few of pieces of furniture from Ligne Roset in the past 5-6 years and I can 100% vouch for one thing: They are virtually indestructible (from every-day use). If you combine that with the wonderful and modern design and their functionality, then the relatively high price tag is justified to a great extent.
  
  Most of the furniture are true showpieces. The Ligne Roset computer desk I have is compact but also expandable and the design so cool and modern that it is not in an office somewhere, but in my living room next to my home entertainment system. I can tell you for a fact that it has sustained considerable abuse (hits, spilled wine, etc.) but still it looks as if I just got it. It is made out of wood and metal and the quality of materials as well as construction is remarkable.
  
  I also own a desk chair and a side table (photos to be added in the photos section). The desk chair's cover is removable and washable and it has actually survived me spilling some (undiluted) paint on it when I was wall-painting once. Stuck it in the washer and it's as good as new. Also, testimony to the quality of materials is the buttons that hold the cover in place that have not deteriorated after occasional washing and use.
  
  If it is within your budget, I recommend Ligne Roset hands down. You simply cannot get that quality elsewhere.
