This should be my favorite bar in Cyprus, definitely in Ayia Napa - good music, fun friendly people, good drinks - but for a bad experience with the big shaved-head doorman. "Sorry, Russians only tonight" - after my ethnically mixed group of friends walked in just ahead of me. I walked around to the other entrance and joined them inside. We went back the next night.
This is a good place. Lacking the historical perspective of the first reviewer, I'll just say:- I like the rooftop a lot. It was a bit chilly the night we were there, but it's one of the nicer rooftop bars I've been to - not huge, but just really well-designed, comfortable and a cool view of the city.- having a table definitely helped. The place got pretty crowded and having our own little area was a big plus.
We basically had a fish meze here - definitely one of my more adventurous meals as an ex-vegetarian, including the confirmation that I like octopus. Great food, nice open air beach view setting. Next to Grecian Park Hotel.
I had a great time at this comfortable, relaxing beach hotel. Our suite was roomy, had good beds and a spacious corner balcony. The *excellent* peach daquiri at the pool bar is still with me, 2 years later. The beach! A slightly long & winding walk down the hill takes you to a near-private (but not officially, since Cyprus doesn't allow this) beach with perfect water & sand. You can rent jet-skis, etc. and there's a food & drink stand right next to the little pier. We didn't really eat at the hotel, so I can't speak to it.
