I have recently been to Archontiko Papadopoulou and I really enjoyed its unique atmosphere. It is a blend of modernity and tradition of Cypriot culture. Once you enter the Kornos village, Archontiko Papadopoulou stands out as a different place with its beautifully renovated appearance, ambiant interior design, pottery works of art, and delicious menu!The Village Salad is my first recommendation mainly because of its tasty dressing. Then comes Pasta with Zucchini which was really delicious. Finally, the Cyprus coffee with shiny spoon sweets completed my lunch at Archontiko Papadopoulou.I ab

Da Capo is a pretty good place to chill out in the midst of Makarios avenue...it has excellent view and tasty fresh juices...I had a fresh mixed juice of strawberry, banana, pineapple, and apple...it was lovely and made exactly for hot Nicosia summer!

Tzatziki
Ingredients
1 pound (1 pint) plain yogurt (whole milk or low fat)
1cucumber, unpeeled and seeded
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon vinegar
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice (1 lemon)
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 1/2 teaspoons minced fresh dill
Pinch of freshly ground black pepper
Directions

Place the yogurt in a paper towel and set it over a bowl. Grate the cucumber and toss it with 1 tablespoon of salt. Place the bowl in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 hours so that the yogurt and cucumber can drain.
Transfer the thickened yogurt to a large bowl. Squeeze as much liquid from the cucumber as you can and add the cucumber to the yogurt. Mix in the sour cream, vinegar, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, dill, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and pepper. You can serve it immediately or allow the tzatziki to sit in the refrigerator for a few hours for the flavors to blend. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

"Stavros tis Asinou" has an extraordinary view to the old church of Asinou with green landscape and fresh weather... the food is traditional Cypriot served with an excellent taste and quality.I really recommend it, but make sure you book your place in advance especially if you intend to go during the weekend!

I usually go to Cafe la Mode and I really like it. :-) The food is made with good quality and fresh ingredients which you can just feel it when you eat the food! Moreover, the service offered and the prices are good and reasonable.

I went to this restaurant and I must admit that I really loved the food and the way it was served. I agree that if it wasn't so hidden, it would have been jam-packed with people. I went on a Saturday night and almost half of it was empty!
