Cool, even in summer
After a short walk to the Baths of Aphrodite from the parking, you will find a small "grotto" where it's cool and smells of vegetation filled water.
It's not much to look at, but as it's part of the mythelogical history of Cyprus, it's a place you have to visit.
Check this one off your list of historical sites to visit; good for a hike, off-beaten-path swimming
This is a great little excursion if you like a gentle hike and it's not 1000 degrees outside. The baths themselves are a quite refreshing spot in stark contrast to the blistering heat of the rest of the trek. However, definitely worth it because the roads in the area overlook gorgeous waterfront, and give you the opportunity to hike down to one of the coves and cool off in the beautiful blue sea.
Beautiful location; historical relevance
The Baths of Aphrodite are a standard and expected part of Pafos tourism and certainly an mandatory visit if you go to Polis. They are where Aphrodite legendarily came to bathe herself.
The Baths are a short walk from the tourist kiosk along a marked nature trail that is a little bit of an uphill. The Baths themselves are nothing more than a small grotto with water and cool shade. In and of themselves they are not remarkable except for how they manage to stay cool even when it is blistering hot a few meters further along in the summer sun.
The four stars however take into account that the surrounding area, either towards the tourist kiosk or if you start down the Akamas trails has some of the most beautiful views in Cyprus. If at all possible, a hike into Akamas should be combined with a visit to the Baths.
Summary: Must to-do for even the five minutes if you are in the region but really book out a couple of hours and walk along the trail as well.
