About Costas …

Costas was born in 1962 in Famagusta, Cyprus and lives at present in Agia Napa together with his wife and 3 children.

His interest in photography started at an early age, capturing landscape and portraits. Followed by wedding photography in which he could let his photographic creativity flow.

With his unique style he soon became one of the most sought after wedding photographer in Cyprus and abroad.

His images are known to be extraordinary and one of a kind.

Every wedding is unique and it is Costas aim to create beautiful award winning images for each and every wedding couple.

In addition to photography, Costas founded SPPI World, the Society of professional photographers Internationale.

He has published the magazine Cyprus Geographic, and a booklet of the old churches in the area.

When not photographing he loves to make cinematic films and he has produced several short films.

The Associateship of the Royal Photographic Society (ARPS),

Excellence of the Federation Internationale de l'Art Photographique (EFIAP).

Winner of the BIPP Annual Competition Cosford, UK 2009

Fellowship of the Master Photographer's Association.

He was awarded the highest distinction, Fellow of the Master Photographer's Association on the 19th of August 2009.

Landscape Photographer of the Year 2007 of the British Professional Photographers Association (BPPA)
and the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP).

Nature and Environmental Photographer of the Year 2006 of the British Professional Photographers Association (BPPA) and the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP).

Operating as a Reuters photojournalist in 1996,
Costas covered live the events that happened in Dherinia, near Famagusta, when the Turks beat to death one Greek Cypriot and shot another during an anti-occupation protest.
These sensational images were circulated by the international media, including the Guardian (front page), Le Figaro (front page),
Stern magazine, Newsweek magazine, throughout the world.
For this unique achievement, he was awarded a special medallion by the Cyprus government.
