The Limassol Tourism Development and Promotion Company Ltd is a non profit organisation that has been established by the Cyprus Tourism Organisation and the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry in order to assist in the implementation of the Limassol Regional Tourism Strategic Plan.

The company is aiming to promote the further development of the basic and tourist infrastructure of the Limassol region and to market the area as a distinct cosmopolitan sea-side destination, with a unique identity, to the countries sources of tourism (with the available funds) in order to attract quality visitors throughout the year.

The board of directors of the company consists of 13 members. The Chairman is assigned by the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry while the Vice-Chairman is the Mayor of Limassol. Two members of the board represent the Municipalities of Limassol. Additionally there is one member each representing the Cyprus Tourism Organisation, the Cyprus Hotels Association, the Association of Cyprus Tourism Enterprises, ACTA, the Cyprus Association of Private Entertainment Enterprises and the Communities of the region (Ένωση Κοινοτήτων). Three more board members are elected during our Annual General Meeting.

The Limassol Tourism Development and Promotion Company Ltd actively promotes a number of projects, which are either at the planning stage or at the development stage, that will upgrade the region's tourist infrastructure and enrich the tourist experience. The Limassol Marina, which is currently at the construction stage, and the International Limassol Conference Centre, currently at the planning stage, which is considered to be a project that will contribute significantly to the year round inflow of tourists are just a few examples.

In the area of promotion, the company implements an annual Marketing Plan, approved by the Cyprus Tourism Organisation. The priority markets identified and targeted are the United Kingdom, Russia, Greece, Germany and Cyprus, while actions are also taken in other second priority or upcoming markets.

Besides the 'Sun and Sea' tourism, the Company is targeting other market segments with more emphasis on conferences and incentives trips, cycling, sports tourism, cultural tourism, health and spa, weddings and honeymoons, cruises and agrotourism.

The main objective of the Limassol Tourism Development and Promotion Company Ltd is to create the new identity of Limassol as a tourist destination, which will differentiate it from competition, so as to attract quality tourism all year round.
