STRICTLY RECOMMENDED TO VISIT - PERFECT FOOD - GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY
It's the best Greek restaurant in Nicosia! Everything was very tasty and fresh, I bet they have the best souvlaki in Cyprus, kokoretsi and kontosouvli. They have variety of dishes for cheese lovers, such as flogeres athinaikes, hallumi saganaki (never try before!), golden fried fetta cheese! Unique meze, no one restaurant in Cyprus serving such food! Very friendly atmosphere, perfect service. Convenient location - in the city center, but with the big parking near the doors of the restaurant! LIVE MUSIC EVERY FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT!
Quality of food and overall dining experience was excellent
Refreshing alternative to Cyprus meze. It was my first experience with Greek meze in Cyprus. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the service. Convenient location in Nicosia. Has a small parking lot. You need to be able to climb stairs to get to the dining room on the first floor; and then the restrooms on the second floor. I can't wait to go back! [Reviewed by Roger of Cyprus]
My review
If you are not too much of a meat lover, a visit to an average Cypriot tavern will not quite satisfy you. However, at this place, there's a great variety of non-meat options, with fresh ingredients, and sort of a gourmet approach to the meze recipes. I love the salad with rocket and pomegranate, as well as the feta with sesame seeds, and all their eggplant varieties.
Nice variation on the typical meze
This restaurant offers a blend of Greek and Cypriot meze. The dishes are purely Greek meze style but the serving mode (no ordering, just bringing you food) is clearly adapted to the local market standards.
Overall, it was an enjoyable meal and it was fun to have somewhat different food than you typically have in a meze. The zucchini balls and various cheese oriented plates were particularly good.
At 20 euros/head, it is priced exactly at the level of the average Cypriot meze. By Cypriot meze standards, it is not a lot of food (maybe 15 dishes instead of 30 plus) but you will leave the restaurant completely full.
The restaurant is located on the 1st floor and has a large number of stairs to climb; might not be the best for older, less mobile folks.
Overall: Recommended and a nice change from the Cypriot meze standard
