Food, location, prices
Have to agree with Andreas here - it's a HUGE place and on Sundays you will see a couple of christening parties along with the people that book or just turn up.
I'd recommend calling to book at the weekends as you might not find a place to sit if you don't.
The souvla has always been excellent the many times that we have been there and the rest of the food very good.
It's a nice drive to get there as well and well worth the time just to get out of the city.
Simple, tasty food, good service
The first thing that caught my attention when I came here was the size of this place. Seriously, this is a huge restaurant, probably able to seat upwards of 500 people. The second thing was the fact that it was packed, and i mean not a single table was empty. If people will go into the trouble of driving al the way out here for a meal, then they must be doing something right.
The cuisine is traditional Cypriot, with souvla and kleftiko always on the menu. And they are both excellent. Their keftedes are also great, but the koupepia not so much.
The service is really fast, partly due to the fact that the food is prepared in large quantities and is ready even before you arrive, and partly due to their numerous staff. If you are visiting during the winter it is really cozy inside, with a fireplace in every corner.
If you are driving from Nicosia to the mountains, definitely worth taking this route and stopping for a great meal.
