Definitely the trout
Vengera is on the main Nicosia-Troodos road just outside Kakopetria and specializes in trout (which Kakopetria is well-known for).
Their standard treatment is grilled, deboned and served with a garlic-butter sauce. The fish was excellent. While neither here nor there, the side fries that came for 3, was pretty meager.
Beside trout, you have the usual Cypriot tavern food (souvla, kleftiko, macaroni in the oven, etc). I nibbled on one order of that and it was decent.
Seating is outside in the summer though there is a large indoor hall for winter. Oddly, it appears to also have some small suites to stay in.
Overall, a nice choice.
